Keramos media size selection investigations are undertaken according to OEM accredited, and industrially accepted testing procedures. Media size and size distribution also influences the shape of mill product particle size distributions, and has impacts on mill operating parameters and media consumption. This can have significant effects on the efficiency of subsequent mineral separation processes as well as that of the comminution process.

Project design is undertaken in accordance with the Keramos Gold Seal Service Ideology. The customer is involved at all stages of project design to ensure that the laboratory investigations deliver a scope of testing that will provide Keramos’ customer with the most applicable and valuable test work results.

A range of media sizes will be selected through preliminary discussions between the customer and Keramos’ Senior Metallurgical Managers. These media sizes will then be subject to an agreed test suite, investigating grinding efficiency in the relevant laboratory mill type.

The selection of media size also impacts on mill operating parameters, and media consumption. Investigating these aspects of the effect of media size selection can be incorporated into laboratory investigations with ease. This will be determined and discussed with the customer during the initial project design phase.
